Chinese tech company Xiaomi wants to establish 1,000 retail locations in the next three years, reports Bloomberg. Those brick-and-mortar stores will use Xiaomi’s “Mi Home” branding. 200 stores are opening just this year.
It wants to use these locations to increase its market share in areas like smartphones. Competing companies, such as Oppo and Vivo, have been helped by their retail stores.
The stores will also give Xiaomi a place to showcase other kinds of products, such as drones, speakers, and vacuums.
Xiaomi currently has 50 locations in China.
