Xiaomi’s vice president Hugo Barra has recently said that the company doesn’t make even a “dime” from smartphone sales, but they are aware that smartphone sales are important. For 2017, Xiaomi is preparing a successor to its current flagship smartphone.
The new Xiaomi Mi 6, along with Galaxy S7, are expected to be one of the first smartphones to adopt Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 chipset. There is no information when the handset will be launched, but the announcement will happen in early 2017, precisely in March. Since Xiaomi has confirmed its presence at CES 2017, maybe we could see the announcement earlier.
