Xiaomi Announces Mi 5c, Sports Xiaomi's Surge S1 Chipset

Following the announcement of its first in-house chipset, Xiaomi has also announced a first phone that is powered by the Surge S1 chipset. The long-rumoured Mi 5c, a successor of Mi 4c, is finally official and will go on sale in China starting from March 3, priced at 1,499 yuan or around $220.

The phone sports a 5.15-inch 1080p display with 1.6mm thin bezels, Xiaomi’s octa-core Surge S1 processor, 3 GB of RAM, 64 GB of storage, a 12-megapixel rear camera with 1.25 μm pixel size, an 8-megapixel front-facing camera and a 2,860 mAh battery
