Microsoft is removing “snap” from the Xbox One. The feature allows users to snap an app to the side of the screen so that you can play a game while also listening to music, watching a streaming app, etc.
Snapped apps take up a fifth of the display, reducing the amount of space given to the active game.
According to Microsoft executive Mike Ybarra, the company has opted to remove snap with the Creators Update to improve multitasking and performance.
Snap is one of the remaining media-centric features found on the console.
