Samsung's new Gear S3 is now up for pre-order in the UK

Although Samsung hasn’t had the best of luck with their disastrous Galaxy Note 7, not all hope is lost for the company. A recent survey showed that 70% of Note 7 owners would be sticking with the Samsung brand in the future, and the company still has a pretty hot product in its lineup for 2016. That product is the Gear S3, and it just went up for pre-order in the UK on Samsung’s official website in the country.

The Gear S3 runs Samsung’s own Tizen operating system, and it’s the successor to the Gear S2 that launched in early October of last year. Samsung’s latest smartwatch features 4G LTE connectivity and the ability to send and receive phone calls if you use it with the service provider of your choice, rotating bezel to easily navigate the on-screen UI, water-resistance for up to 30 minutes of submersion, and Samsung Pay so that you can use your watch at virtually any store to pay for things thanks to the inclusion of both NFC and MST technology.

This time around, the Gear S3 comes in two main variants – the Classic and the Frontier. The Classic features a design reminiscent to that of a luxury watch, whereas the Frontier features a more rugged design and should prove to be an excellent watch for exploring the great outdoors. Both watches feature the same price tag of £349 on Samsung’s UK site ($425 USD), and shipments should start arriving on or around Friday, November 11.

And, as a nice added bonus, the first 1000 customers who pre-order the watch from Samsung will be able to score a free pair of Samsung’s own Level Active Headphones at no additional cost. The headphones feature a retail price of $99.99, and they should prove to be an excellent companion when used with the Gear S3.

The availability of pre-orders for the S3 Classic and Frontier means that we should start seeing pre-orders roll out to other countries in the coming days or weeks, so it shouldn’t be too much longer before the new watch finally makes its way to your area.
