Samsung’s reputation has taken a serious hit since the Galaxy Note 7 incident. Since then, we have seen several similar issues with the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge models, where battery caused the phone to catch on fire. Now, another incident has surfaced online.
A Singaporean man claims that Samsung denied its request for replacement to his faulty Galaxy S7 Edge unless he waived his rights to say anything about his experience that would humiliate the company in any way.
After refusing to sign the document, he then tried contacting Samsung through Facebook and the company replied that it will investigate the situation. Few days later, Samsung replied back, saying that such document is “standard.”
The only question now is how many other Samsung users have experienced battery failure, but decided to sign the NDA. What would you do? Sign the agreement and keep quiet about the issue?
