Samsung Galaxy Note 7 could still come with 6GB of RAM

One of the initial rumors about the Galaxy Note 7 this year said that the phablet would feature 6GB of RAM, but as the official announcement confirmed, Samsung is sticking to 4GB of RAM for its latest flagship. However, it looks like the company might be working on a separate variant with 6GB of RAM for the Chinese market, as a Note 7 model with 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage has been spotted on TENAA and the Geekbench benchmark database.

This unannounced model also has 128GB of internal storage – the Note 7 has been launched with 64GB of on-board storage, and it’s possible Samsung is throwing in 6GB of RAM with the higher storage model. With devices like the OnePlus 3 available in China with 6GB of RAM and with the market being a difficult one for Samsung, it looks like the company might be looking to stay competitive with the new variant.
