The Finnish company HMD Global has just released a successor to the original Nokia 3310 feature phone with a modern design and better specs. The bad thing is that if you’re based in the United States, then you are out of luck as the handset won’t be coming to the US, at least not officially.
The reason behind that is because it uses technology that’s not supported by carriers in the US. Most networks in North, Central and South America use 850MHz and 1900MHz, which is not supported by the phone. If the demand would be high, HMD Global will probably change their mind and launch the phone in the US.
Are you one of those that will spend €50 and purchase one?
