Statements from Nintendo have suggested the company is willing to give up region-locking and it’ll reportedly do just that with the Nintendo NX. According to Let’s Play Video Games, the NX is region-free, allowing imported games to run fine on the system. This will set the console apart from the 3DS, Wii U, and other Nintendo systems.

Both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 are region-free, but Nintendo has consistently locked down its systems. In 2015, however, former CEO Satoru Iwata said the company would look “optimistically” at no longer region-locking consoles.

This report also notes the system is 281 mm in length, 92 mm in height, and 25 mm in thickness.
