Minecraft has grown to over 122 million copies sold and a monthly player count of 55 million, according to an announcement from Microsoft. This is the first time those stats have been publicly updated since June 2016.
At the last update, the game had 40 million unique players and 100 million copies sold.
The game has grown significantly across a range of platforms since Microsoft acquired it in 2014. Microsoft spent $2.5 billion on Mojang, the game’s creator.
It’s available on PC, all major consoles, and mobile devices. It’ll be on the Nintendo Switch.
