LeEco is a household name in China but not very popular in the US but that is going to change very soon. LeEco has made its much-awaited debut on the US soil and that too with a bang. During an event held in San Francisco, the device maker from China has unveiled a lineup of TVs that will be hitting the shelves in US market very soon. As for LeEco, the debut is not limited to TVs only, the brand is going to bring a hoard of devices for the US consumers which include smartphones, self-driving cars, bicycles, virtual reality headsets, and much more.
Now coming back to TV that was launched, it runs on Android and goes by the name LeEco uMax85. LeEco has thrown pretty much everything in the mix to make it appealing to the consumers. As you have already guessed from the name, uMax85 features a large 85-inch 4K display and HDR – both HDR 10 and Dolby Vision. It comes equipped with Harman Kardon speakers and Dolby Digital Plus for offering an amazing sound quality.
uMax85 features 4GB RAM and 64GB of SSD storage so that you can store all your apps locally. LeEco is slated to launch three different versions of Super4 TV line in the US which include X43 Pro, X55, and X65 which will be equipped with 3GB RAM and 32GB of SSD storage. Harman Kardon speakers, 4K display, and HDR are part of the arsenal as well. There is a cloud of confusion whether these TVs will support both formats of HDR or not.
That’s not all for LeEco, the brand is also going to bring its set-top box that goes by the name LeTV UBox U4. It supports 4K playback and is powered by a quad-core chipset coupled with 2GB RAM and 8GB ROM. US consumers will be able to access both Chinese and international entertainment options via this set-top box which includes Netflix, Hulu, and HBO. LeTV UBox U4 will be hitting the shelves next month for a retail price of $74 (532 Yuan).
As for the prices of the TVs go, consumers will have to shell $4,999 (33687 Yuan) for purchasing uMax85. LeEco is also introducing LeRewards program- a user feedback program which will give you a rebate of $1000. X43 Pro, X55, and X65 will be carrying a price tag of $649 (4373 Yuan), $899 (6058 Yaun) and $1099 (7405 Yuan) respectively. ou will get a rebate of $200 on Super4 TVs if you signup for the LeRewards program.
