Google Has No Plans To Release New Pixel Laptops

First Pixel device released by Google was Chromebook Pixel 2013, running the Chrome OS on high-end hardware. In 2015, the company released a successor, the Pixel 2, and if you were expecting a new model, don’t hold your breath as there is no new laptop in the works.

Apparently Google held a small meeting with journalists during MWC 2017, where the company’s SVP for Hardware Rick Osterloh announced that they won’t be making Pixel-branded laptops anymore. This decision has nothing to do with the Chrome OS, which is still Google’s main focus when it comes to laptops.
