Google Denies Systemic Gender Compensation Disparity Alleged By DoL

The Department of Labor claims Google has a company-wide issue with gender pay disparities, something Google fully denies. Based on the company’s internal analysis of payment across genders, it has “found no gender pay gap.”

This report is part of an ongoing investigation into Google’s possible violation of federal employment laws due to discrepancies between pay for men and women.

We found systemic compensation disparities against women pretty much across the entire workforce.
– Janette Wipper, DoL

Google called on the department to share its data and methodology. As it stands, the company says the findings are “unfounded.”
