Google Android Search Now Includes Results From Your Installed Apps

Google for Android and Google Now have added a new search mode that surfaces content from your phone. The “in apps” mode works entirely locally and it pulls up content like music and videos from the apps you already have installed. It can even show you contacts, texts, and emails.

By adjusting the In Apps settings, you can exclude specific apps from the search function.

Google will include more apps in the feature over time, with some of the planned additions including Facebook Messenger, Evernote, Todoist, and Google Keep.

The feature has gone live across the world on Android.
