Samsung’s next Galaxy S handset may lack a headphone jack just like the iPhone 7 and some recent Android devices. SamMobile claims the phone only includes a USB-C port for audio connections, meaning you’ll need an adapter, new headphones, or you’ll have to switch to wireless.
This move would free up space in the Galaxy S8 while also pushing the market towards a wireless future. In the more immediate term, it would also boost the importance of USB-C.
A few reports have stated the phone will be introduced around MWC in February 2017.
