Manufacturers are slowly closing the gap on the Dell’s XPS 13 laptop, which has the thinnest display bezel among Ultrabooks. Lenovo has recently introduced the Yoga 910 with a new edge-to-edge display, and ASUS is now working on a new model with very thin bezels.
Called UX410, the new model has a 14-inch display, but is expected to be the size of a laptop with a 13.3 inch or smaller display thanks to slim bezels. The bezels measure 6mm, which is slightly thicker than the 5.2mm bezels on Dell’s XPS 13 laptop.
The notebook will have several configurations, with Intel Core i3, Core i5 and Core i7 Kaby Lake options, up to 8 GB of RAM, up to 1 TB of hard drive or 512 GB of solid state storage. There will also be a model with NVIDIA GeForce 940MX GPU. Still no word on pricing or availability.
