Apple has reduced the price of many products in India to go along with a significant tax reform taking place in the country. India is implementing its Goods and Services Tax, which changes the way products like Apple’s devices are treated by the government. Due to the price shifts, some Apple products have dropped by up to 7.5%.
The iPhone 7’s starting price is down from Rs 60,000 to Rs 56,200. And the iPhone 7 Plus starts at Rs 67,300 rather than Rs 72,000.
Other devices, including Macs and iPads, have also seen their prices slashed.
Even though these reductions are notable, Apple’s products still cost more in India than in other countries.
